Philistia – the land of the Philistines - has been their homeland for millennia as early as during the reign of Ramses III - long before it became known as the Holy Land. 

This is situated between the Mediterranean Sea and the river Jordan with ancient cities, e.g. Gaza,  among others.
Later the region west of the Jordan was renamed the land of Canaan.

No other comparable conflict between people is as old as the Philistine - Israelite conflict.
Israelite King David and Babylon's Nebukadnezar are ancient historical examples.
During the Roman Empire “Palaestina” has been divided into Samaria, Galilea, and Sinai.

Far later, the Ottoman Empire having survived for centuries, was sieged by Lawrence of Arabia as late as during World War 1 when the region came under British mandate.
The creation of the state of Israel after World War II started new waves of conflict still present today with Arafat`s PLO; Al Fatah and Hamas, and have culminated in several Intifadas.

Despite the Peace Noble Price for J. Arafat and Y. Rabin severe bloodshed due to Hamas, Djihad, and Israel ravages this small stretch of land which never has seen real peace in history.

This is a musical journey right into the centre of the melting pot of three world religions.
